Richard Ferdig, Ph.D., Summit Professor of Learning Technologies at the Research Center for Educational Technology in the School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies, co-authoring a new book, "," published by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE).
This latest publication is a follow-up to a 2020 book, 鈥,鈥 in support of teachers and teacher educators during the pandemic. It includes research-based best-practices and strategies to support students.
Associate Professor Karl Kosko, Ph.D., along with EHHS graduate students Jennifer Heisler and Maryam Zolfaghari, contributed a chapter focused on innovative issues specifically related to education and teacher education.
Titled, "How Immersive Should Virtual Field Experiences Be?: A Comparison of Single and Multi-Perspective 360 Video," the chapter examines preservice teachers' experiences using different types of 360 video. Specifically, results suggest that more immersive media significantly improves how long teachers focus on students in the recorded classroom.
