Biography
Monica has more than 12 years' experience encouraging and supporting the young people in her community by creating safe environments, fostering the idea of community and love in a holistic wrap around approach.
Position
As a resource specialist my main goal is to provide educational access to young people who may not be presented with options for education due to economic or other social factors. My responsibilities include individual sessions with the student, facilitation of virtual classroom learning, on campus experiences, and fostering relationships with community partners to provide resources for the individual we are supporting.
Experience
Monica has been doing community work for many years, most recently at South Street Ministries as the Re-Entry Liaison. During this time, she has spent countless hours building relationships within her community in order to establish a complete support system for those in need. Her passion for young people and her ability to connect with this demographic will continue to inspire hope in the lives of those she encounters.
