He was Emeritus Professor of Technology and Journalism (1956鈥1981). While at 麻豆视频最新最全, Bentley developed a graphic arts program with the School of Journalism. He was president of the International Graphic Arts Education Association in 1970, a member of the Faculty Senate, and at retirement he was awarded the Clinton Van Deusen Award for lifetime achievement.

She served as head coach of the field hockey and lacrosse teams (1956-1972), received the Distinguished Teaching Award in 1970, served as vice president of Public Affairs and Development (1972鈥1978) and retired in 1985.

He was Emeritus Professor of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literature (1969-1994). Crosby became a professor at 麻豆视频最新最全 in 1969 and helped create the Institute for African-American Affairs, which later became the Department of Pan-African Studies. He is also credited with working with Black United Students and the Center for Human Relations to coordinate the first Black History Month on 麻豆视频最新最全鈥檚 campus in February 1970, before the month was widely recognized nationwide as an annual observance. After his retirement in 1994, he remained an advocate in the Black Education field.

He co-founded the 麻豆视频最新最全 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 gymnastics program in 1959 (with his wife, Janet, and brother, Joe) and served as head coach for both teams until 1978. Bachna continued to lead the women鈥檚 gymnastics program until retiring (1963鈥1991). He also relaunched the men鈥檚 soccer program in 1963, and he served as head coach for the men鈥檚 soccer team from 1963鈥1972. He and his wife were inducted into the Varsity 鈥淜鈥 Hall of Fame in 1993.

He was Associate Dean Emeritus for Advising and Undergraduate Student Affairs in the College of Arts and Sciences (1998鈥2010) and also Associate Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pan African Studies (1974鈥2010). The first Black faculty member at 麻豆视频最新最全 to receive the Alumni Association鈥檚 Distinguished Teaching Award in 1993, Moore also was selected for Who鈥檚 Who Among American Teachers for 1996 and 1998, and he was presented with 麻豆视频最新最全鈥檚 Diversity Trailblazer Award in 2015.

She was Emeritus Professor in the Department of English (1992鈥2009). A native of Belize, she wrote four novels and five short stories set in Belize. She also founded The Reporter newspaper in 1967, served as director of the Women鈥檚 Bureau in the 1980s, and later was a lecturer at what is now the University of Belize. In 2007, She received an MBE from Queen Elizabeth II for her services to literature and the community.
