Summer STEM & Innovation Camps

Enrollment: To enroll for any programs in the listing, please note the two-step ENROLL NOW and CONSENT FORM. Enrollment is not final until a payment and consent  form are completed. 

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made five business days before the program start date to receive a full refund of the registration fee. Cancellations must be submitted via email to continuinged@kent.edu.
 All camps are hosted in the AT&T Classroom/Room 034 of Moulton Hall on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« Campus.

Program Listing

3D Digital Design for Augmented Reality and Printing

Campers will use 3DSlash and Maker Empire to design 3D projects for printing and use CoSpaces and Merge Cubes to create augmented reality projects. Each camper will also print out one of their projects to take home.

Suggested grades: 4+ (Appropriate for grades 4 through 8)


Full STEAM Ahead with LEGO® SPIKEâ„¢ Essential  

LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential is LEGO’s learning platform for amplifying children’s understanding of concepts for science, technology, literacy, and math. Campers will engage in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts as they build with LEGO® elements and program with the intuitive SPIKE™ App.

Suggested grades: 3+  (Appropriate for grades 3 through 8
 


Exploring Robotics 

Campers will explore coding and computational thinking through hands-on experiences with a variety of programmable robots including mBots, Ozobot Evos, Edisons, and Sphero SPRK+.

Suggested grades: 3+  (Appropriate for grades 3 through 8)



Full STEAM Ahead with LEGO® SPIKEâ„¢ Essential - Session 2 

LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential is LEGO’s learning platform for amplifying children’s understanding of concepts for science, technology, literacy, and math. Campers will engage in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts as they build with LEGO® elements and program with the intuitive SPIKE™ App.

Suggested grades: 3+  (Appropriate for grades 3 through 8



Digital Game Design  

Campers will build from their excitement for video games and learn to design and program their own playable digital games using tools such as RPG Maker MV and more.

Suggested grades: 5+ (Appropriate for grades 5 through 8)

  • Complete one registration form per student per program. 
  • Refundable registration fees for cancellations made 5 business days prior to program start. 

Please ensure that registration is completed with the name of the child participating in the program(s) instead of the parent or guardian's name. Please use your child's enrolling grade for 2025.

  • $125 per camp 
  • $150 per camp
