The Center for Teaching and Learning is offering AI-related and other workshops throughout this year.  Individuals who participate in 4 AI workshops (at least 3 different one-hour sessions) and submit reflections will be eligible to earn special recognition for their commitment to learning about AI.  Click here to learn more about the AI-Ready Educator Recognition.  Works that can count towards the AI-Ready Educator Recognition are identified as such.  You can find the list of AI-related workshops by clicking on this page.

Learn more about our first ever Teach-Off.  Be a viewer or a competitor - all in good fun!  Instructors will present for 5 minutes during one preliminary round on something they do in their course (activity, technology, tool, assessment, etc.) - what it is, how it works and hints on how others can use it.

Starting Tuesday February 25th at 9am we will facilitate 30-minute workshops on different AI uses.  Each workshop will be held via Teams twice during the same week; Tuesday at 9am and Wednesday at 3pm.  We hope to see you at a few of them!

Alternative Approaches to Grading

Between the hours instructors spend on grading and the anxiety our students feel around grades, it may be time to consider another way. Join us as we explore alternative grading strategies that put learning at the center of our courses. We will be joined by KSU faculty who will share their own experiences with alternative grading strategies.

Learn more about our first ever Teach-Off.  Be a viewer or a competitor - all in good fun!  Instructors record a 5 minute video and turn in their video by March 19th.  Each 5 minutes is on something they do in their course (activity, technology, tool, assessment, etc.) - what it is, how it works and hints on how others can use it.  Viewers will watch submitted videos and vote between March 24th & April 11th for their top videos.  Top competitors videos will be shown live during the End of Year Extravaganza on April 11th when the champion will be vote for an selected!

CTL End of Year Extravaganza

This year we are bringing as many of you together to celebrate the great work you've done here at KSU.  A few of the things we will celebrate include Teaching Recognition Award & AI-Ready Educator Recognition Earners, share the great research of our 2024-2025 Teaching Scholars, and have THE GREAT KENT STATE TEACH-OFF Championship.
