Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University freshman Josh Paulin recently saved a man’s life, which motivated Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îȫ’s Department of Public Safety to honor him for his heroic acts.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University's Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Todd Diacon has announced that Jennifer Marcinkiewicz, Ph.D., has been appointed interim director of Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îȫ’s Center for Teaching and Learning, effective July 11, 2016. She will provide overall leadership for the Center for Teaching and Learning, whose primary mission is to provide opportunities, leadership and support for all faculty to grow in their scholarly and professional endeavors.
In a Columbus ceremony recognizing the best in print and broadcast journalism, WKSU reporters took home eight prizes from Ohio AP media editors (OAPME), including sharing the award for Overall Excellence for radio broadcasters (an award WKSU took home last year as well). The OAPME Awards reflect standout work created in 2015.
Please be aware that Hilltop Drive on the Kent Campus will be closed for several weeks to replace the concrete slab top to the utility tunnel near Cartwright Hall. Hilltop Drive will be closed from July 28 at 8 a.m. through Aug. 25 at 5 p.m.
Staff who have parking permits for this area can park in the R1 Rockwell, R15 Cartwright or R16 White Hall lots during the closure.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
