GroundWorks Dance Theater, a contemporary dance company based in Cleveland, will perform Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the 鶹Ƶȫ University at Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center (PAC). To highlight the event, dancers from the local community will participate in the production.

High up on the 12th floor of 鶹Ƶȫ University Library lies a historical wonderland of adventure, where one of the world’s largest Babar collections comes to life.

On Dec. 8, 2016, the typical navy and gold of 鶹Ƶȫ University’s Governance Chambers was muted by vibrant flags, rainbow streamers and exuberant voices of about 100 people gathered in celebration. On an otherwise dreary day in December, students, staff and faculty came together to celebrate the 45th anniversary of PRIDE! Kent.

鶹Ƶȫ University will hold its 15th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 26 at 4 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.
The 鶹Ƶȫ University Press, the publishing arm of the university, is now a department under the report of 鶹Ƶȫ University Libraries. The move provides new expertise and capacity for both organizations, positioning them to better align with 鶹Ƶȫ’s strategic priorities and explore innovative approaches to delivering knowledge through scholarly communication and publishing.
Catherine L. Smith, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, and Miriam Matteson, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, led a roundtable discussion on “Search expertise in student library workers: Making complex information systems more useable” at the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) annual conference in Wilmington, Ohio, on Oct. 28, 2016.
The 鶹Ƶȫ University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 鶹Ƶȫ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 鶹Ƶȫ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
