Taking a Deep Dive Into the Utilization of Oceanic Sediments

One of 麻豆视频最新最全 University鈥檚 newest faculty members in the Department of Geology has already made her mark with the recent publication of her and her colleagues鈥 work to better understand the effects of global warming as it relates to the arctic ocean. Allyson Tessin, assistant professor, specializes in biochemistry, oceanography and sedimentary geology. She is currently studying the relationship between the chemistry of the ocean and climate change.

Stream Ecologist receives $718,000 NSF CAREER Award to Study Trace Metals in Stream Algae

麻豆视频最新最全鈥檚 David Costello is passionate about identifying what trace metals lie within Northeast Ohio鈥檚 streams and what the effects of these metals are on the surrounding environment. Costello, an associate professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, received a $718,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to study these important trace metals. The grant is awarded as part of the National Science Foundation鈥檚 Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program.
