The family of Astrid N. Sambolin Morales, Ph.D., an assistant professor at Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ«, is dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. They have been without electricity since the storm hit Sunday Sept. 18, 2022.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2026 at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 21 at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University Airport. Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îȫ’s freshman class began classes on the Kent Campus nearly 7% larger than the previous year with 4,251 students – the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.
