Winters, Bradley

We investigate cellular properties that underlie the ability of neuronal ensembles to extract and encode information and their experience-dependent maturation using brainstem circuits that compare information between the two ears that are critical for sound localization and may be disrupted in children with central auditory processing disorder.

Chen, Peiwen

We investigate the molecular and biological processes governing the development of brain malignancies, including primary (e.g., glioblastoma) and metastatic (tumors originating from other locations in the body, such as breast cancer) brain cancers. Our goal is to develop novel immunotherapeutic strategies for patients with brain cancers.

Louveau, Antoine

We investigate the roles of the brain barriers (meninges, blood brain barrier and choroid plexus) in normal and pathological brain function. We particularly focus on immune-vascular interaction during neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration.

Dear Golden Flashes,Tomorrow we celebrate our democracy as we vote, and as we await the election results. I remember well the first time I voted, which was in a state and local election in 1978, in a polling station located in the basement of a church in Winfield, Kansas. I was too young by three weeks to vote in the 1976 presidential election, but have voted in every presidential election since then, and just thinking about each of those elections conjures up memories, emotions, disputes, elation and disappointment spread over the past 46 years. Please vote tomorrow. If you voted early: thank ...

Moore, Aleisha

We investigate cells in the brain that regulate gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons, the final output cells in a large neural network controlling fertility. Our research is focused on identifying changes in these networks that underlie the development of common forms of infertility, such as polycystic ovary syndrome.
