The Ruck for Pets and Vets saw participants march with full backpacks from Downtown Kent and through the university campus to finish at Dix Stadium. Items in the backpacks, and proceeds from the event, will assist in matching veterans and first responders with companion animals.

'A Supportive Community Makes It a Lot Easier'
Students coming to Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« and, for some of them, living away from home for the first time can struggle with the transition. The transition can even be more difficult for LGBTQ+ students, particularly for those who have recently "come out." Ken Ditlevson, director of Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ«'s LGBTQ+ Center, talks about the many resources available at Kent to support them.
